"Iramaki-san, here is the haunted room." stated a nurse, although her voice sounded almost like she was mocking the boy. Her crystal blue eyes narrowed full of disbelief.
"Thank you." stated Haru as he bowed in gratitude, his ceremonial robe following him. The frame covered in the white robe with the back having a pentagram, the symbol of the Iramaki family. Around his soft neck was a necklace made of pearls. It was traditional to where this when he is working with people that aren't magicians. Although there were magicians in this hospital, the client was a normal human. He didn't really like the robes that much but never complained about it none the less. It felt strange whenever he wore it though since he isn't allowed to have his hat or gloves on. Of course that might be because it would really clash with his robe and his sister would never allow her 'creations' to go with what she liked to call 'that'. She truly never did like the robe at all calling it too simple.
Stepping towards the door he tried to sense if there was anything in there. Yep, it was definitely a spirit. Okay, if that was the case it is best he locks the door after he opens it and come in. Cupping his hands together he started to chant. Slowly a star started to form out and grew in size. First the nurse vanished into a safe zone in which time completely stopped. Then it started to eat up other people too and then stopped once it had engulfed the building. The blue sky became sepia almost like in one of those old pictures. The sound of the cars and clock stopped. Looking at the clock he noticed that it was almost noon. He should hurry and finish this up then. It wasn't going to be easy though. Standing there for a moment he looked around himself to find that the walls, ceiling and floor had became sepia just like the sky. Strange what sealing magic can do.
Today was the weekend, most people his age would be out having some kind of fun right now, but he had work to do. He always had work to do. He was used to it by now even though he was young. The frame really ruined the spiritualist supposing to be old and strange looking. He never knew where it came from but that was what people seemed to think. He really didn't like it either. Since, well, it didn't make any sense at all. Taking out his ofudas, he threw them and they transformed into birds, pigeons to be exact. Though his true shikigami was a different kind of bird. Sending them off to create a barrier for the building, he go back to get ready to work.
For some reason, a surge of fear caught up to him. He didn't know why but he felt scared for some reason. It was a strange sensation where something rushed over to him. Almost like when someone is watching a horror movie and they know what is behind the door, the viewers would scream out for the person to stop. In this case, the viewer was the boy's instinct to survive. One of those fight or flight moments in which he could open the door and get ready to simply run away. Shaking his head trying to get rid of the fear, he found his hand trembling. This spirit was beyond him. Strange though, why would such a strong spirit be in the hospital then? He really didn't want to turn the door knob and silently prayed that a magician would come and help him.
