Name: Issun Jonahson
Age: 13
Sex Male
Nationality: Japanese/Swedish
Occupation: Student
Magic Level D
Magic/Psychic: Illusion Magic: On his own he found out that he can slightly makes something look different, but within it’s natural shape. Examples are a stick into a simple sword, a door into a wall, and a cat into a rabbit, if it bothers to stay still. The power can, currently, only last about ten seconds. Unless his subconscious takes over that is. Because of the recent amount of stress and nights of sleep deprivation, whenever he sleeps there is a chance that his mind puts an illusion over his body. The change affects the mind also, assuming a new identity.
Appearance: Standing at 4’1’’ and about 90 pounds. He has a triangular head, which has blond, ear-length hair and shiny, green eyes. That and his, non-broken, voice sometimes confuses people into thinking he’s a girl. Issun’s body is darkly tanned and is a collection of scars. From the head down, he has a scar on his left check, burn scar on his left hand, large scar on his right arm, and only has his big and pinky toes on his left foot, from accidentally causing a knife to land on his other toes.
His outfits are predictable; a green shirt and whatever pants or shorts that was in reach. His clothes are nothing special, single colored and no brand names. If cold and rainy he’ll where a brown polyester-leather jacket; while in winter weather he’ll where a heavy dark green jacket and black gloves and hat, with cat ears.
The illusion changes his composition, removing the hair and replacing his tan skin with a sickly grey, with matching exoskeleton, which covers the entire body. The top of the head is covered with spikes, the end of his hands and feet with sharp claws. The illusion only covers up on article of clothing, his underwear. So the new identity, which is a nameless demon, feels and takes off the shirt, pants, shoes, socks, or anything else it sees; as they feel annoying. If he gets hurt, it’ll reflect on the exoskeleton; it’ll fall off, no longer existing, if he bleeds, which is real blood. When he sleeps or gets knocked out, often self-inflicted; he’ll be normal again, just in his underwear.
Personality: Recently he’s been quiet and withdrawn; little bit afraid to try to meet new people. It’s mostly due to being stressed over his dad’s death, just getting over being sick, and moving to a new city and school. He doesn’t like crowds, so you’ll find in sitting corners and edges of the room, as he’s intimidated. That feeling of being overwhelmed also turns him submissive. If he decides to open up,
he’ll prove that he can be easy to talk to as well open to friendly competition.
Part of anxiety lies that he is use to routines; so it isn’t unusual doing the same thing for long periods of time. The problem isn’t that he can’t adapt, it’s often a slow transition. It often makes him loyal, not wanting to change from a good thin or person. He is respectful; going by proper names rarely insulting people. Issun’s grades are usually above average, as most classes are all about memorization and routines. The boy’s interests include reading, video games, computers, music, and martial arts, though he isn’t trained. It will be easier for him to get along with anyone who shares his interests, as it would naturally give him something to talk about. The only people that he may not be around would be self-proclaimed badasses or rumor spreaders.
The alternate personality takes the mild and calm Issun; into a being that assumes itself as nameless demon. Acting as if it has ADHD, he won’t sit still and is easily distracted. It likes to show off; which is able to pull off some amazing stunts that puts him in great risk. The only other activities he loves more are making a bigger deal about himself, a pathological liar, and let his hedonistic urge take whatever catches his eyes, as a kleptomaniac. Though the demon hasn’t met other people yet; it’s predatory nature and want to be dominate means he’ll easily like the opposite sex as well as anyone who doesn’t seem like a threat to overthrow him. Remember, this is the result of Issun’s mind and the nature of the magic; not that he’s an actual separate being.
History: His parents are Japanese nurse practitioner Ayame and Swedish artist Michel Jonahson. Michel came to Japan during his last year of college, wanting to see at least one foreign country in his life. He was a class A magician, specializing in visual illusions. That ability would help with his art; as he can visualize what he has before transferring it to a canvas; as he did surreal paintings. Besides having trained for it, he wanted to be an artist for the freedom it offered and he would be rewarded if people liked it. However he was having trouble with his nemesis, algebra; so he went to a student tutor. That’s when he met Ayame; the valedictorian who was also finishing her last year. She wanted to become a nurse to help people; but a nurse practitioner to make the head decisions and lead. She found most of her subjects easy due to her photographic memory and being a logical person. When she first met the struggling student, she was expecting a stupid foreigner that expected everything done for him. She was glad that he proved her well; as he showed intelligence, was willing to learn, and able to charm her with his charisma; so much so she was wondering if that was the reason she was seeing hearts in the air, literally. After college, they kept seeing each other, especially to help Michel gain his citizenship. After a year of exclusive dating, they decided to get married, then 3 years later they gave birth to their only child.
They lived in a small city in northern Japan; because of Michel’s hatred of crowded cities and a job opportunity for Ayame. The living was comfortable; as both parents jobs were study. Nothing majored happen in Issun’s life; his life was considered normal with him doing well in school and having friends. His father kept a close eye on him, making sure he didn’t pick up his magical traits, as he seem to picked up most of the rest. Michel didn’t see any proof and didn’t want to both his son if he didn’t. When his son was finishing the 8th grade, Michel was out on a walk when he noticed a drunk driver bulleting down the road. Not wanting anyone to get killed, he uses his illusion magic to ‘form’ a brick wall, in order to make him stop. Instead of stopping, the drunken idiot tries to avoid it, striking the castor.
The accused is still waiting to go to trial; pleading not guilty to the vehicular homicide and DUI charges as he blabs about the magical wall that popped up. Everyone knows it’ll be an open and shut case. Besides leaving them heartbroken, the Jonahson family has to go through changes. To keep up with the money they have been making, mostly because both we’re saving up for Issun’s tuition; she takes a nurse practitioner job in a Tokyo hospital. This crushed the boy’s hope of graduating in the same high school as his friend, as they attended their elementary school together also. It took them two months to move, settling in a nice house, within walking distance of the school. It was a week before the term would start, but he developed bronchitis, which put him in a lot of pain. This is when he started staying up for long periods of time and when he began his illusion magic, and the self-casting spell that would happen over his body. He missed two weeks of school, now healthy enough to take classes. He wonders if there are others like him, as well if he can find anyone he can get along with.

“Today would be the first day of school,” whines Issun before coughing green phlegm, lighting up his black sweatshirt. He looks back at the clock, third time within the hour, I’ve been up for 40 hours now, coughs onto the sleeve again, but I can’t sleep.
In the study, he looks around as if there might’ve been something he missed that’s fun and exciting. He decides to reread one of his mother’s medical books, Maybe,
He couldn’t finish that thought, has he started hacking. Tiny green puddles grew larger with each throat-shredding cough, lasting a painful 60 seconds. He wipes his mouth on the a sleeve, walks over to the bookshelf for a medical book, Maybe there was something I missed.
He sits in the black leather couch, quickly finding the page containing ‘bronchitis’. As he starts reading, time decides to finally takes his toll, I want to find how to treat it again… He falls asleep, unable to hold the book up.
Awakening, first thing he did was look over the place, How did I get here? What’s on the floor? What is over me? He wasn’t Issun anymore, well what his mind was telling him, one of those things was removing the garments covering it. What it thought it was nameless; something not human and something, “Oh what’s up there,” with a short attention span. He quickly climbs the bookcase, “I hope there’s something up there.” Sadly it never found out, as he slips and screams.
Waking up, the first thoughts were. Was I sleep walking? How did I get in my underwear?
