Today was a busy day as usual so maybe it wasn't truly considered 'busy'. After all it was the weekend so there was no school and a lot of girls like the idea of a flower cafe. Boys also like it because it was a good place to have a date at. It wasn't so quiet that it was awkward and it wasn't so loud that it wasn't romantic. There were no roses on the table well unless there was a reserved table. Strange for a cafe to have one, no? Kids though don't seem to like the cafe so much unless it's for one of those deserts. It only made sense though, kids were kids after all. They weren't into the England mix with Japanese like food here but they did like the ice cream and even some Europe deserts. That was a good thing though, that way the cafe was for all ages, a lot easier to make business with. The food being cheap here but still enough to make profits helped out a lot too.
"Here you go mam." Renai stated as he put the tea down. A kind smile on his lips as he looked at her, his eyes reflecting the woman's figure. She appeared to be a business woman, around his age maybe. Long brown hair that goes to her waist, brown eyes showing quite a stern look. On her frame was a pink shirt that was sticking beneath the black jacket and covering her legs was a black skirt. On her lap rested a suitcase. She most likely was on a lunch break. It was in the afternoon so that made sense. He didn't questioning it though since it was rude. Also, he was sure that she wasn't the kind to answer nicely either. As she turned her head towards him she took the honey tea he had made and sipped it. Her stern face soften and the man took it that she liked the tea. Knowing this he quickly left to take another order.
Everyone that worked here had to dress in a waiter or waitress outfit, well except for him. It didn't look good on him at all and he didn't like himself in those suits too much. It was also fun to see some people complaining about it. Once he walked into his small office he chuckled as he started on the next tea. Slowly he used basic Celtic magic to make the tea taste better. It wasn't that he was bad at making tea, he was okay at it. There were times when it frustrates him but in the end he is a decent tea maker, well if it's England tea anyway. When it comes to Japanese teas and their herbs, those were always a migraine and he would be forced to use Celtic magic or else it would only taste bad. He does try his best though and making tea relaxes him for some reason.
On that thought, he can hear it, in the back of his head. The sakura tree was hungry, it's been hungry for three weeks now, since he had last killed someone. He can still see it even though it was washed thoroughly. He can still catch the scent, the smell of blood, the blood of all those he has killed, especially his mother's. Her gentle touch on his cheeks as she laughed. She was truly beautiful, almost like a doll with her face and lips, golden eyes always staring at him as she smiled. Her movement almost like water, graceful. Her voice gentle like the wind and her touch soft as snow. That was all an act though, she was actually a killer. She had killed her own husband because he loved her. Ironically, her own son killed her because she had loved him. That couldn't help but make him wonder, would that mean the person he loves in anyway, family, friends of romance will kill him. He didn't mind that idea so much but then the person would have to do his job.
Shaking his head lightly, he decided that it was best for him to focus on the spell. Once the spell was done, he held the cup and walked out to hand it to a nearby waiter. He wasn't in a good state right now after all. Looking back into his room through a small hole, he saw the book of Dr.Hyde looking right back at him. He was truly like the main character in that book, one day he will regress into his other self. He wasn't okay with that though but he is far too powerless. So for now, he should just live for today and not worry. Walking over to the entrance he greeted the person who opened the door. Bowing down not with the traditional Japanese style but rather England's he welcomed them."Good afternoon, welcome to the Hana cafe."

"Jeez, what's with this heat?" loudly complained the dark-skinned woman as she strolled down one of the streets within the shopping district located in the busy metropolis that is Tokyo, the largest city within Japan. She titled her head up towards the cloud-free blazing sky with an irritated gleam visible within her dark eyes, her top lip curled in distaste before she raised a hand to brush back some of her fringe, which was sticking irritatingly to the woman's damp forehead. It was mid-summer this time of year and, with all the issues concerning global warming, the summer was a lot more humid than last year's one. And for the woman, who hated each and every summer than passed by, this was quite a nuisance. "It would be fine if I specialised in elemental magic but nooo, I had to be born possessing only shadow magic - a type of magic which is useless in this kind of weather. Honestly, somebody must really hate me up there ..."
In her annoyance, the woman remained oblivious to the many stares that she was recieveing from passing strangers and from the people who occupied the area, all who were locking their gazes upon the slender black tail that swung behind the woman's short slender legs and the two black furry feline ears that stuck out from beneath her black hair on either side of her head. Yes. The woman, Tsukiyo Kumori, was a neko - a human being with certain feline characteritics such as a tail, cat-like ears, whiskers and claws, though she was lucky just to have only the ears and tail - but not only that, she was a witch also. An S-ranked sorceress of the Kumori family, they who were masters of Shadow Magic. The famous "Black Cat."
A loud growl vibrated within Kumori's stomach, causing her dark cheeks to heat up in her embaressment as she clutched at her stomach, her frown deepening. "Jeez, now I'm hungry too? And here all that I intended to do was go and restock on my thread supply ..." It was at this point that her dark eyes caught sight of a small cafe located across the street from where she stood, it looked like a pleasent establishment and the words "The Hana Cafe" worked to catch attention. Kumori came to a stop and stood with a thoughtful expression plastered across her attractive face, using her right hand to scratch the top of her head as she pondered upon whether she should choose to eat here or go look for a nearby Subway, which would be cheaper. Kumori had had to cut McDonalds out of her diet a while ago after she had gone up two dress sizes from consuming too many of their quarter pounders. Well ... this place is closer, she reasoned with herself before shrugging her shoulders as she reached her decision. Oh, what the heck. I can't be bothered to walk another block anyway. Crossing the street, Kumori reached the cafe's door and took hold of its doorhandle before pulling it open and stepping inside.
Immediately Kumori was greeted by a tall handsome man, dressed comfortable with glasses perched on his nose, a friendly smile on his face, and for a moment Kumori was taken back. She had no idea that such service was avaliable within this part of Tokyo. Quickly, she recovered and flashed him a smile that some might have considered flirtaous and which, in fact, it was. "My, such a greeting. Tell me, do you greet every beautiful girl who steps in here like that or am I just lucky today?"

"My, such a greeting. Tell me, do you greet every beautiful girl who steps in here or am I just lucky today?"
At that question, Renai perched up and stared at the girl. Obviously she was not a normal human being. She must had been a magician, one with some strange characteristics, but a magician no less. Still keeping on that smile, he opened his crystal blue orbs and chuckled a bit. She had a sense of humor, he liked that, it made the job a lot more comfortable. Of course that didn't meant that she was going to get a discount. He'll give her ideals of a good deal in this cafe but no way was he giving her any discount. He needed money as much as anyone else after all. He noticed that he was a little shorter than this woman, that was to be expected though since he is quite short for his age. A curse really, but he didn't mind it. There are things that are good about being short, it makes it easier for people not to notice you. He never like being in the limelight, simply too many expectation, and expectation meant work.
"Nope. It's pretty much every pretty girls." he answered her. Quickly he scanned the area to his left if there were any tables still empty. After all, his right eye was blind and he wanted to make a quick check anyone. Finding one that was near the back, he knew that he was going to have to work quick. He had other orders to do after all. God, how much he hated days like this. Holding the menu in his hand he turned towards the table and gestured his hands for her to follow him."Now shall we get you a seat?" he asked, making sure that he was using the right words. After all, everyone wants their customer to come back and give them tips. It was one of the ways to make good money after all. Quickly he proceeded to the table wondering why she didn't take the feline parts off. There were some strange appearances with some magicians, but most would take them off one way or another.
Opening the menu to the first page, he laid the menu down onto the white cloth table. White was a normal color for most cafes and restaurant that it was starting to dull him. Who knows, maybe one day he'll change the cloth, but today wasn't the day. Taking out a pen and a notepad he waited for her to order. He didn't rush her though since it was one of the worst thing one can do to the customer. Also, being the manager, he had to be as close to perfection as possible. Normally, he doesn't put his glasses on unless he is in an interesting battle, but since today was busy, he decided to use it to hide the fact that he had a killer's eyes. After all, with the sun reflecting it, he can easily hide his eyes whenever he needs to. He actually doesn't really need glasses but he insisted to his eye doctor that he did.
"So what are you doing here, Ms.Blackcat-chan?" he asked, teasing her with her name. Although she no longer work in the magician society, her name was very well known. Being an assassin, he almost had to kill her but someone else wanted the job so he got assigned to Grey. The thought made him stop for a bit. Right now he was scared to face the man, he had taken his right eye after all, so he had made sure to never go out when he thinks that Grey is here. There are rumors that he had changed his name though, but he wasn't sure about that. He made sure to avoid the man as much as possible after all. Remembering that he had a customer right now, he mentally shook his head and continued to wait for the order. After all he was very patient, that was why he hired other people, even if he is, the customers might not be.

Kumori felt the waiter's eyes taking in every inch of her appearence, from the tips of her furry ears to her scarlet-painted toenails, peeking out from brown casual sandals, and her smile deepened with amusement, revealing her sharp teeth. The waiter wasn't the only one focussing their stares upon her either, she knew, just about every customer and employee within the cafe was, wondering what a young woman was doing walking around wearing cat ears and tail when it wasn't anywhere near Halloween. Kumori didn't mind in the slightest. She loved the attention. "Tsk, tsk. Now I think that you're a player, Waiter-san," she teased in response to his answer. "But please, lead the way nonetheless."
As Kumori followed the young man towards an empty table located near the back of the room, her jet-black eyes watched his back with undisguised curiosity. Though she hadn't noticed it when she first entered the cafe, her senses became aware that there was something different about this man, and not just concerning his short stature (which, being even shorter than Kumori, made him very short). Kumori, having worked for the Magical Society in tracking down and capturing criminals of their society for them, had learnt how to recognise a fellow magic-user by the feeling of the shadow that they cast. Human shadows were cold and off-putting, only approaching Kumori should she call to them. The shadows of a witch or wizard were vastly different however, for their shadows were more lively and eagery reached out towards Kumori at her presence. The waiter's shadow was doing that now. Akwardly losing some of its form in its eagerness to brush Kumori's feet, like some playful puppy.
Taking a seat at the table, Kumori did not acknowledge what she knew about the waiter or commented upon the whiteness of the table's tablecloth as he opened the menu to the first page and placed it down before her. The smile that sat upon Kumori's lips did not waver as she decided that she would play around a little while longer, holding the menu up close to her face and forming an exaggerated expression of thoughtfullness on her face as she scanned the menu's list. Her right hand tugging slightly on her right furry cat ear.
"Hmm ... maybe - no, not that ... cream sounds nice but I should probably watch my figure ... hmm ..." Kumori parted her smiling lips as she readied herself to ask the waiter what he would recommend as a suitable dish for her when he abruptly asked what she was doing within the Hana Cafe, using her alias that was well known throughout the magical society. "Black Cat."
The woman's smile faultered for a moment but she showed no anger, annoyance or fear of having her identity discovered as she tilted her chin and fixed her fathomless gaze upon the waiter's face, perching her chin against the palm of her right hand as she rested her right elbow upon the table's surface. "You're cute, shame that you don't seem to be that smart otherwise I might have asked for your number at this point," she teased, maintaining the laid-back flirtaous attitude that she had been showing towards him from the moment she entered the cafe. "I've come here to eat - what else would I do within a cafe such as this? Speaking of which, I'd like the turkey roll minus the mayonaise and some English coffee, extra cream if you'd please. Hold back on the magic though. It might just give me indigestion."

"Very well." said Renai as he jolted down on the paper with his pen. After ripping it out the paper with the order from the notepad, he ripped out another. Placing it down on the table still keeping on that same smile he decided to play around for a bit. She was a fun girl to talk to."Well then, will you write down your number for me instead?" he asked making sure that he was locked onto her gaze. Waiting for a bit, he knew that it was time to go now. Turning away from her he went to the kitchen and put the note up. Hmph, so she knew that he was a magician. A sigh came out of his mouth. It was a lot harder to have a mask on when your have emotions. Still, he refused to give up these emotions, being human wasn't bad at all. Looking back at her, he silently thanked her for ordering English coffee if she doesn't want magic. He was never good at Japanese food, the idea of leaving things raw were quite foreign to him.
Taking out some coffee beans, he also grabbed a cup and filled it with water. Making sure that it would be hot, he put it into the microwave for one minute. Meanwhile, he looked at the rest of the customer. Rubbing his forehead as he closed his eyes, he couldn't help but regret making so many good deals. Sure business was good, but in return he had to be busy. He didn't have much time to spend the money, good thing he closes early on the weekends. He needed some time to himself after all. In the middle of his thoughts, the microwave beeped, the sound ringing in his head. It was almost like an alarm clock. Smashing the beans into small grains, he poured it into the water and started to stir it. As the clear water started to turn dark brown he started to stir. He made sure to add some cream and then a little more for the order. He really needed a vacation.
Once he walked out, the cafe manager put the coffee in front of her."So, can I have your number?" he asked once again.
{Sorry about the shortness}
