Oni
A particularly potent type of magic. It doesn't have much range like the Elemental magics would. Instead it is a magic 100% focused on the muscles of the human body. Stories of the feats of strength have carried over since the practitioners came over from the Mainland. So shall we clear up some of these myths and legends?
Myth 1: Oni's are hideous, gigantic creatures with sharp claws, wild hair, and two long horns growing from thier heads.
Fact 1: The Oni's size was brought about from the oral stories passed on. To make thier strength seem beleivable their build was though to be porportional to the feat of strength required. The sharp claws and wild hair probably came from a woman with long nails mad from a bad hair day and decided to use her pure strength to tear through something. But yes there are two horns growing out of thier heads when thier magic is fully activated.
Myth 2: Thier skin is either red or blue.
Fact 2: red is from the massive flow of blood over thier bodies while attempting a feat of strength that could cause them to strain. Blue is often from after the feat when the body is in desperate need of oxygen.
Myth 3: Oni use kanabo and wear loincloths.
Fact 3: Back then the Oni didn't find much need for clothing when lifting bolders larger then they were, so a loin cloth was all that was needed. And a Kanabo just naturally utilize the massive strength. Though most users back then used said kanabo to smash the afore mentioned rocks.
Myth 4: Oni cause disasters, disease, and other unpleasent things.
Fact 4: Oni while using thier enormous strength are not the most graceful so accidents happen.
Myth 5: Oni's eat humans.
Fact 5: The massive amount of strength requires a massive amount of nutrients and carbohydrates. So thier meals could often be as large as a full sized man. But most of the time, Onis are vegetarians.
Myth 6: Buildings with L-shaped indentions at the notheast will ward away Oni.
Fact 6: No oni actually know where this one comes from.
Myth 7: Throwing Soy beans outside your home and shouting "Oni wa soto! Fuku wa uchi!" one a year will keep oni away.
Fact 7: Yes it will. So would shaving a cat and calling it fluffy, eatign your dirty socks while sitting on the roof, or a chubby hair guy dressing up as Sailor Moon. Why would anyone want to go to the home of someone obviously insane?
Myth 8: Monkey Statues ward away oni.
Fact 8: While normal people have dog or cat allergies, Oni's are simply allergic to monkeys. And since chaining a monkey to your front door is quite expensive, people have used statues.
An Oni weighing 100lbs at D rank can lift close to 500 lbs or 5 times thier weight. C Rank can lift 1000 lbs or 10 times thier weight. B ranked can lift 1500 lbs or 15 times thier weight. A class can carry around a literal ton. S class Oni are exceedingly rare as one such case was ever recorded. Yamamata-oni, as he was called, had limitless strength. However this took it's toll on his life shortening it to only 30 years.
Vampire
Not actually a creature but rather a school of MAic that has been perverted through oral tradition. Vampire Magic is quite powerful in the fact that it can increase the life expectany of the weilder by taking life energies from living creatures around them. This is done constantly as the vampire walks. The energy taken is not enough for one to notice. Also vampiric magic can heighten the users strength and speed by 25% and allow flight. Shall we bust some myths about this one too?
Myth 1: Vampires Drink Blood to Survive.
Fact 1: Vampires live just like normal people. They can drink blood if needed for rapid healing.
Myth 2: Garlic scares away Vampires.
Fact 2: This is true. Though it's mainly due to the stench. If you walk around with wreathes of garlic around your neck, see how many HUMANS approach you.
Myth 3: Vampires can not touch Holy items or walk on cencecrated ground.
Fact 3: Most Vampires are just Atheist.
Myth 4: Vampires do not cast reflections
Fact 4: Light bounces off Vampires just as easily as it does humans.
Myth 5: A Vampire can not enter a house without being invited in.
Fact 5: This is just good manners.
Myth 6: Vampires will perish when exposed to sunlight.
Fact 6: The influx of energy from the living also effect thier core body tempurature and most vampires perfer to stay cool.
Myth 7: A stake through the heart will kill a vampire
Fact 7: A stake through the heart will kill anything.
Myth 8: Vampire can not Cross running water
Fact 8: Really these stories to help children asleep at night are a little far fetched. I mean if you are talking about running through a water fall, yeah a vampire may stop following you cause you dove through a waterfall. But "Run across the bridge over the river and the vampire won't get you?" Come on. Credit for originality but...seriously?
Appearance:
Yuutetsubou doesn't appear anything like and Oni or a Vampire. She seems lke the type of girl that would break a sweat lifting 100 lbs. Long red hair trailng down to her back is one of her pride and joys. She takes an hour each morning to wash it completly and make sure it looks good. Her bangs come down just above her eyelashes. SO she is often seen swiping her locks out of her dark green eyes.
As for her body, she is very mature. One of the largest bust sizes in the school, even beeting out a few of the teachers, namely Sakuraba Chisato. Her stomach is perfectly flat with just enough waist to look good. Her skin is a light Japanese tone. But the freckles on her cheeks denote her Polish Heritage.
When she starts to go into Oni level strength, her skin changed to a crimson red. Thiis usually when she is pushing the envelope of her strength. After the work is done, her body cools down to sea blue. Her hair also changes to black during both times from the increased bloodflow to the scalp.
Personality:
Yuutetsubou, or Yuu-chan, Yuyu, Boubou, or Subou, is one of the sweetest girls you would ever meet. She is often the first to help someone up, or to help outheavy load. Though she is always there for someone with a smile, often times, particularly when dealing with physical activities, her body looks like it is holding back. Honestly she is. The oni magic has been in her body since born, has the vampire magic. If she didn't hold back, she would easily send students flying.
Though she is a sweet kind person, should anyone abuse thier powers and attack one of her friends, she will not sitate in going to the local store, buying a case of whoop arse, and opening it up on the other magician. Its has been rare but she has been known by the magician crowd, to throw bullies larger then her across a football field. Or Soccer field for you American Blokes.
Sometimes though, she does slip up on her strength. Usually crushing a door knob when she is angry, spliting a desk in half when she slams her head down after being dumped, or sendng someone down the hallway when she is totaly embarassed.
History:
Yuutetsubou was born to a very loving mother and a strict firm father. Her father, Sukottorandojin Kiyoggyou, was a successful travel agent in Tokyo. Her mother, Maria, was from Poland. Her father met her mother while on a vacation [Oni going to Transylvania]. They eventually married two kids. Yuutetsubou and her young brother, Koishii Kiyogogyou.
Until she was in middle school, she always thought Sukottorandojin was her biolgical father. But the truth was shortly after she moved to Tokyo, she started to date a fellow magician. She was a vampire he was Oni. The two worked together and made her. [Not going into details there]. The two broke up afte 8 months, leaving Maria alone with the unborn child. Yuutetsubou was born, beleived Sukottoandojin was her father and loved him as such. But this bit of news wasn't the only piece. She was born with the inborn magic of both Oni and Vampire. This explained why she was stronger then other girls and why she never got sick.
With this newfound knowledge came a shift in her personality, one with lots of restraint. She was in fear for the first year that she might crush her friends. This helped her figure out what human strength really was and how she can imitate and utilize it.
