Name: Iramaki Haru
Age: 16
Gender Male
Nationality: Japanese
Occupation: Student
Magic Level B
Magic:
Appearance:
At first glance the first thing you will notice about Haru is that he looks like a girl. Big emerald green orbs full of innocence and happiness that it is hard to see how he is a boy. His eyes are usually what draws people in because of the fact that they have a strange aura. Also his eyes are not like ones of a teen but more of a kid because of how ignorant he is about the world.
His hair is long for most boys with the bangs reaching down to his chin. The front covering his green orbs a little, especially when he is looking down. On the back it reaches to his neck. Although it is rare to see the top of his raven black hair since he usually wears whatever hats that his sister designs for him.
The style of his clothes are truly out there, something not pretty much not anyone would wear in his lifetime or any lifetime really. So many styles he wears from something that looks lively to something that is simply dark. Every color are always changing and the number one reason why this happens is because of the fact that his sister designs clothes. As strange as that is, he does have a favorite outfit from all the clothes that she had made. Since most of her clothes are quite scorned by adults but yet loved by teens because adults scorns them. The one he usually wear is black jeans, a black sleeveless shirt with a small red jacket and a black hat with a red stripe in the middle. His hands are covered with gloves no matter what season it is. The reason why is because his hands usually leak chakra and since he doesn't want to be a ninja, he uses gloves that can conceal his chakra. The gloves he usually wear is black although it comes in a variety of designs that his sister makes.
Personality: Haru is a shy boy who is quite withdrawn to society. Very quiet he tries his best to talk to people when he is working at the shop. The only one who he talks to normally, or at least normal for him, is his sister, Kyuuka but even then his voice is very small and timid. Not really one to use his own voice or thought, he is more of a follower than a leader. Usually he would just slightly nod when he is listening. He doesn't really want to get near people because of the fact that it seems like everyone he gets close to other than his sister always die in a gruesome death. He blames himself for all the deaths of the people around him always thinking 'if only I died instead of them' or maybe 'they died because they met me and so they think that I can easily heal their wounds.' He doesn't want to see someone around him die again and so the fear makes him withdrawn when it comes to people.
Very close to his sister, Haru listens to her a lot. He also takes care of her when she is sick and always blames himself when she is hurt by saying things like 'If he was there then this would happen', 'if he listened to her and go home early she would have done the thing that hurt her' or maybe even 'if he wasn't born than she would had been able to heal herself'. His sister usually cooks and take care of him though because of the fact that he is quite clumsy when he isn't in battle. He tries to help her but she always tells him that she likes to take care of him so she'll do it while he just rest. Too bad he doesn't usually rest though and instead help people doing those times making him even more tired.
Quite a klutz, the kitchen is dangerous to him. Anything sharp is dangerous when it comes to him unless he is in the process of healing someone because he is trained to have a great focus of the mind when it comes to it. Having lots of concentration and when he is fighting because he was trained to be a jounin in his family, he is very balanced and can actually fight well if given a weapon. Still, he tries not to fight and rather just put off the idea of battle. The only times he would fight is when he is forced to or if it is to protect his sister. When he is in battle though, he always holds back because he doesn't want to kill and usually dodges. Very fast and on his feet, he can react quickly. His eyes though changes a lot in battle as they are more narrow making it seems as if the young innocent boy is gone. Strangely though, he isn't because he is still worried about others including his opponent, and usually only tires to knock him out.
Very shy he hates being the center of attention and will do anything to get out of the spotlight. This leads to others calling him modest but the truth is that he doesn't want to be known. He also doesn't like people thinking he's special or anything, he rather just blend in with the crowd although the clothes his sister makes doesn't help him with that at all.
The boy is very sensitive to touch. He doesn't like coming in contact with people, it isn't because he thinks high of himself, no the reason why is because he is scared of people dying. He thinks that everyone who tries to come close to him dies except for his sister. He also knows that since he fights a lot to protect his sister and spirits, he will most likely not live a long life. That is why he wants to make sure that no one gets close to him so that he won't get hurt and neither will they. He can't get rid of his bond for his sister though because it's too strong and he is afraid of being completely alone. He hates himself for that and always thinks that he is holding his sister back from her dreams of being a fashion designer. Sure she designs clothes for him but she can't do it for others because she has to cook and shop for them.
Haru is very fond of animals of any kind really. Although he doesn't have a pet since he is poor, he does take care of animals whenever he can. His dream is actually to be a vet but when he was young but he had already gave up on that dream. That doesn't mean that he doesn't secretly read up on animals and try to learn about them. He truly does care for them and he always find himself looking at sick pets and trying to help them in some way. He wants to be able to help them badly but can't. This always makes him look down on himself even more.
One of the strangest thing about him though is that he takes other people's burden and feelings as his own. If the person is sad that he would feel sad but when someone is happy, he feels at peace when he sees them laughing. Very sensitive to others feelings, he can tell when people are having trouble in their lives are not and he is pretty much attracted to those sadness and tries to help them. Even though he is able to pick up on how others are feelings, he is always numb to his own. He doesn't get it when he feels hurt because to him everyone is the same. Everyone is special to him but little does he know, because he made everyone special, no one was. Thanks to this, he doesn't know who he likes more except for one person and that would be his sister.
History: Haru is born in the Iramaki family, a family famous for their art of Onmyōdō. Born on February 19, he was not the only one. His twin, Kyuuka was also born that day although their grandmother paid no heed to her. All she cared for was her grandson because he had a magical ability. That was the strange thing about the family, only one of the kids have the ability of magic. Even though his sister was born two minutes before him, he had to ability. No one knew why though but they didn't question it either as they didn't care which one had magic, they only care if they was magic at all. The twins father was a researcher while the mother was a spiritualist. In other words, Haru had gotten the powers from his mother along with her green eyes. His black hair is from his father.
Growing up the twin's mother quit her job to be a housewife. His mother was special though, she had the magic of prediction. One night she had a dream where both of her children died. In that dream, Haru was fighting someone who didn't seem to have normal magic powers, the person had powers that could not be considered magic. His sister jumped in the way and died, then the younger twin would die on the inside. He would kill the person and then no longer care about the world because his sister was gone. Worried about this, the mother committed a forbidden Onmyōdō spell and died. The twins were only five years old and only Haru saw her die. He was there in her dying moment where she used the spell. He blamed it on himself that she had died, if he was never born then she wouldn't have used that spell. If he was never born his sister might have never died so his mother would had never gotten that dream.
When the rest of the family came, it was too late. All they saw was Haru, his eyes lifeless as he just sat on his knees. In front of him was a pale woman, who had clearly just died. Seeing his mother died made him unable to accept reality and so he went in side of himself, creating a barrier so that he won't have to face reality. He couldn't face it, the idea of his mother dying like that. It was all his fault too! He didn't stop her, he didn't even try to. Maybe if he had cried she would stop just to take care of him. But the problem was that he didn't. He didn't know why, but he just didn't, it was like fear had grasped onto him and made him mute. He couldn't cry out for his mother to stop or cry, he couldn't even move. Still, that made him hated himself only more and more. He was simply too weak.
During that time, Kyuuka had been trying to talk to him but nothing happened. Since Haru was in a catatonic state and the real head of the Iramaki had just committed suicide, the grandmother became the head once again. No matter how much his sister had tried to call out to him and take care of him at such a young age as their father had also committed suicide. The poor boy couldn't hear her though, he lost all of his feeling as he ignored everything. It was almost ironic, in perhaps using her magic to protect Kyuuka and Haru, she had put the twins in a worse state than they might have been. It was not till that the older twin couldn't take it anymore and yelled at her little brother. She grabbed all of her clothes and ran away from home because she couldn't take it anyway. She didn't know where to go so she went to one of her friends house.
Twins were special, their brainwaves were similar to each other. Haru felt he anger and woke up three days after she left. When he had heard the news of what he had missed, he felt terrible. He hurt someone once again. He killed his father and made his sister move. The boy felt scared and sad. He kept on yelling at himself for it that he locked himself in his own room. He wouldn't let anyone in his room. Because he was well trained for his age and that his grandma was too busy, he was able to use magic to block his room. It was a basic spell really. There he would kept quiet and starved himself, and blaming on himself. He couldn't take it anymore, and then one day his sister decided to come back. When he heard her voice outside of his room, he immediately opened it, hugged her and cried. The crying went on for what seems to be forever.
Shortly after that, everything subsided. Haru went back to training while his sister took care of him. She knew that he didn't like the food they cooked for him so she would always sneak in some of her meals for him. Eventually once he was fourteen, an age where many people consider to be grown up, Haru and Kyuuka moved out of Kyoto. They knew that it was time to move to the place where spirits will do the most damage, Tokyo. Already they signed up for Animus high. The two moved into the same apartment since they were poor. The younger twin insisted in him taking a job and his sister agreed as long as they worked at the same place. In the end, the two worked at the Neko tailor store. The main reason why was because Kyuuka loved clothes and Haru didn't mind where he worked at.
Of course, Haru also had a different job. He was an onmyōji and so it was his duty to make sure that the spirits moved on peacefully. Although the job is quite hard, his sister always tag along with him. She always like following him and making sure that he doesn't overexert himself. Although this makes it harder for him to fight because he has to protect her that he had called his grandmother and asked her if she could teach him some new magic. When she said that she couldn't because Taoism had nothing to do with protecting people from magic completely that he went on to search for other magic. Going into Animus high, he looked over some books and found a magic call 'seal'. Learning about it, he practiced hard and now is able to create a seal of a star.
Growing up in Tokyo, even though he was a magician and had more classes then others and even more was that he had a job, his sister is his only friend. Although she had tried to get him to date many girls being his unofficial matchmaker, he doesn't really like it. He was okay with being single right now, he wouldn't have to worry so much. Also, everyone close to him dies anyway. It was always his fault, he was always the cause, a factor to how the ending comes. Because of that, he is quite a pacifist, and don't want to force spirits to move on, but rather talk to them and help them out.
