Name: Justine McCarthy
Age: 16
Gender Male
Nationality: Irish descent, but is half-Japanese and one quarter-French
Occupation: Student, part-time Cafe Worker
Magic Level Low B
Magic: Amongst Justine's talents in magic are the three types of magic known as Sealing, Elemental and Prediction. Whilst skilled in all of them, he specializes in Sealing magic mostly, and has indeed come up with his own, unique seals. Amongst his seals include his favorite, which he has nicknamed "Limit Game". This is essentially a seal that is placed on an area to trap all those inside it in, only freeing them once certain conditions are met. However, powerful Sealers should be capable of breaking free.
As for Prediction, Justine can only do this in conjunction with his eyes, meaning he must let the vision appear before his eyes thus blocking his view of anything else when using it, and rarely lets anyone know of this unique skill, as he tends to abuse this power at times to win bets and such. While it may seem useful, Justine can only see things that are very close to the present time, and in the rare case he sees something far off, it is usually in a dream.
Finally, Justine is skilled in Elemental magic, and he often uses it for odd jobs and such, such as warming up tea and so on. It also serves as his offense should he be brought into a fight, but only when fighting other magicians, which isn't often. In particular, he specializes in manipulating Metals, often using them to make weapons for himself. It isn't just limited to weapons of course, as he can form walls and armor as well. He is also skilled in Wind and Fire magic, but is comparatively lacking a bit in Wood, Water and Earth Magic.
Appearance: Justine is mostly your average teenager in terms of looks, with long, blonde hair and green eyes, which are often hidden by his long fringe. His hair is usually seen in a ponytail when at school, but flows freely any other time. His skin is somewhat pale, and his body is somewhat toned from the numerous fights he has been in since he was a child. On his left cheek is a tattoo of the character 'Aku', meaning 'bad' or 'evil'. Each of his ears are pierced with a small, skull-like piercing.
His clothing is fairly simple, consisting of blue, baggy jeans and black trainers, with a baggy, red, short-sleeved shirt which is left untucked at all times. Over this is a white jacket with long sleeves and a hood, which he rarely actually uses. On his head is a black, beanie hat with a skull located on the front. On his left wrist is a watch, and occasionally he wears black, fingerless gloves.
In school however, he usually has his fringe pulled back with the rest of his hair into a ponytail which reaches waist-length. His school clothing is often neat and tidy, and seems to be an opposite of his regular, scruffier appearance. Indeed, if you put a photo of the two beside each other, one would not be able to guess that they were, indeed, the same person.
Personality: In terms of personality, Justine is considered a calm person, perhaps overly so, who seems to lack enthusiasm. Indeed, even in the face of danger he's still have that calm, 'I-don't-care' look he usually has. Some might say he's heartless in that respect, but really, he doesn't like getting too attached, or being too trustworthy. He may hang out with a few people he knows, but only considers them acquaintances at best.
Other than this, he seems to have something of a fondness for gambling, which he usually rigs by using his power. Since he is looking at his cards, none realize that he is actually looking at a vision, and thus he tends to win without any being the wiser, allowing him to earn even more money. However, while he may seem to be a cheapskate, this is really more or less his form of assisting his mother, who works hard to support him and his family, including some of the extended family.
While this is true however and he is a nice guy on the inside, years of being a con-man has lead to him earning many enemies, which means that in dealing with them over the years, he has gained a somewhat short temper and a violent anger, although he is sensible enough not to use magic in these situations unless there is no one else around and he is facing a mage. Although, that does not mean he holds back his punches, as he tends to pay people back with interest. Even when angry though, he tends not to make any expression in particular, instead keeping his normal, calm look about him. Although, he does tend to curse more when angry.
History: Justine McCarthy was born to Suki Madoushi and Maximillion McCarthy, both mages, and for most of his life lived in Cork, Ireland. His father died when he was still a baby, and thus never knew him. However, growing up, his family was poor, as his mother not only had to provide for him, but for his grandparents, his uncles and aunts, and his cousins. Only a few of the extended family were able to work, and often the large house was overcrowded. Often people would insult his family, calling them a bunch of 'poor bastards'. Justine was sick of hearing it.
From a young age, he often beat up anyone he didn't like who said something bad about his family, but as time went on, he realized the pointlessness of it, and instead sought a way to provide for his family. He would usually take on odd jobs, but as soon as his eyes were opened to magic, he sought a new way to make money: Gambling. Using Prediction Magic, he would be able to easily win any gambling games. As he grew older still, he began to hone his magic more properly, joining a club in school that taught such a subject.
Over time his skills grew and, working hard for his family, he proceeded to, on the outside, turn out as a model student, eventually achieving B-Rank Magical status. Not quite the level he desired, but still good nonetheless. For his ambition, of being able to provide for his family, and to live the good life, Justine will let nothing stand in his way. And if something dares to challenge his ambition, they will regret it.

Justine sighed as poured some water into a cup. He had been working in this cafe for how long? It was getting annoying, but at least it would look good on his CV. Not that he was sure wether or not magical jobs required CVs. He'd have to ask about that some time. But not now. For now, he was busy serving customers. In particular, a customer who wanted some tea. Allowing his elemental magic to kick in a bit, he used heat from a small fire spell to warm up the tea in no time and, having not let anyone see what he had done, proceeded to turn around and proceed towards the customer's table.
"Here you go, sir" he told the man. The man mumbled a thanks and handed him a small tip. Taking the change and putting it in his pocket, Justine sighed to himself and walked off, tired from his job. At least he was getting off soon. But even so, he was tired of the job. Nonetheless, he assured himself, he had to do it. Not even for himself, but for his family. That was what was important. As long as he was doing it for them, he assured himself, he would bear with it.
Returning to his spot behind the counter, he stood patiently as a new customer came up, making an order. A coffee, again, as well as a chocolate muffin. The man paid for his food and Justine proceeded to walk off to get his order. And so the cycle began again, with the customers ordering, him getting their orders, and then responding to more customers and their orders. A cycle that continued on and on every single day.
